The Marriage Amendment passed, so only marriages between men and women will be recognized in North Carolina.
Pat McCrory won in the Primary to become the Republican Candidate in the Governor’s race.
Dan Forest was the top vote getter in the Lt. Governor’s race, but he did not secure enough votes to stop a runoff election.
Mark Meadows was the top vote getter in the District 11 race for Congress, but he did not secure enough votes to stop a runoff election.
Michele Presnell won in the race for NC House District 118.
There will be a runoff for the Lt. Governor’s seat and the 11th Congressional Seat on July 17, 2012.
Remember to vote in the Republican Primary on Tue, May 8, 2012, 6:30am – 7:30pm.
